Illinek Lodge Supreme Chief of the Fire
The Scout Council Executive, as the senior professional representative of Scouting in a council, is dubbed the "Supreme Chief of the Fire". In this capacity, he or she is the senior officer of the local Order of the Arrow lodge. In practice, the Supreme Chief of the Fire, typically delegates significant authority to a subordinate professional referred to as the "Staff Advisor" and and adult volunteer referred to as the "Lodge Advisor". Both individuals work closely to ensure that the lodge program is successfully (and properly) implemented in the local council. In effect they work "for" the Supreme Chief of the Fire. In turn, the elected youth leader "Lodge Chief" typically enjoys significant authority to develop activities and plans, and organize the youth of the lodge.
